The Alpes gourmet basket of Isère gastronomy

A gourmet basket filled with products from small, authentic Alpes producers of Isère, to help you discover an extremely rich, varied and high-quality culinary production. Celebrating the Alps!

White Savoy wine SALUT A TOI! appellation Abymes, 2022 (75 cl. - 13% vol.), 1 star in the Guide Hachette des Vins.

vin-savoie-abymesWinemaker: Domaine des Crocs Blancs, Winemakers: Kevin Foucher and Franck Masson.

When Mont Granier collapsed in 1248, the soil in the commune of Chapareillan, where Domaine des Crocs Blancs is located, underwent a major upheaval. The Les Abymes appellation takes its name from this tragic event. The terroir underwent profound changes, giving it a richness that is uncommon in Savoie.

Domaine des Crocs Blancs has been certified organic since last year: organic farming for more life in the soil, biodynamic practices for more contact in the vines and more life in the wines, and this is reflected in the wines.

We offer you Kevin and Franck's cuvée "Salut à Toi", a friendly white wine made 100% with the appellation's king grape variety: Jacquère. This Abymes is aged for 18 months, including 12 months on the lees, and delivers a lovely floral and mineral bouquet. On the palate, it harmoniously combines sustained white-fleshed fruitiness, stimulating freshness and enveloping roundness.

This "glouglou" cuvée is perfect for an aperitif with friends, but also goes very well with fondue or fish: you're in for a treat.

Petits cookies apéritifs croustillants à la tome de chèvre et à la Noix de l'Isère (70 g)

biscuits-apéritif-isereArtisan cookie maker: Biscuiterie artisanale Louvat, Christelle Ivangine-Bogey.

Artisan bakers since 1954, the Louvat house offers 100% pure butter cookies made with good products (and a lot of love too), working as much as possible with local suppliers.

The cookies we've chosen incorporate goat's tomme from GAEC La Croix des cochettes and Grenoble walnuts, of course, for a very gourmet result.

Don't hesitate to put them in a hot oven for 5 minutes to bring out the aromas and salt crystals: enjoy your aperitif!

Traditional smoked Savoy Diots cooked in white wine and accompanied by the famous crozets, the typical Savoyard pastry (400 g)

diots-artisanaux-savoieLa Conserverie des Alpes, Aude and Laurent Bigoni

The Diot, or little sausage in Savoyard, is obviously a regional must, and made and cooked by a quality artisan (Aude and Laurent are members of the Collège Culinaire de France, if you please!), it's an essential part of Savoyard gastronomy.

With this gourmet basket from Isère, you'll discover their smoked version cooked - without additives, colorants or preservatives, of course - with the famous crozets des Alpes, a small square pastry measuring 5 mm square and 2 mm thick. An authentic, tasty mountain dish we'd love to hear more about!

Heat in a bain-marie or sauté pan over low heat. Stir regularly.

Tasty aperitif spread with eggplant, tomato and Alpine bear garlic (90 g).

tartinable-artisanal-savoyardArtisan : Conserverie artisanale Le Crétin des Alpes, Yann d'Ascoli

The expression "Crétin des Alpes" comes from the time when mountain dwellers didn't have easy access to sea salt due to the compartmentalization of the Alpine valleys. They used quarry salt, which had the disadvantage of being low in iodine, and consequently suffered terrible thyroid dysfunction, causing the natives to develop frequent dwarfism, goiter and mental retardation.

But Crétin des Alpes is also a range of delicious local products based on exclusive recipes, made with quality ingredients free from preservatives and artificial flavours.

According to our artisan, these products were born in the remote Alpine pastures, from the spirit of a small, rough-hewn man with a strong character, who succeeded in putting the best of the Alps into his recipes. Here's a gourmet recipe made with natural ingredients that subtly combines eggplant, tomato and Bear's garlic for an original, gourmet aperitif.

And a little clarification for those wondering: so-called "bear garlic" is in fact wild garlic, the leaves of which, according to legend, are prized by these venerable mammals for purging after hibernation.

Chouchous Dauphi'noix bio, small crunchy walnut kernels gently caramelized with light cane sugar (110 g).

noix-caramélisées-isereArtisan-producer: La Belle Noix, family-run organic walnut farm, Famille Belle.

La Belle Noix is a 30-hectare family nut farm located in Isère, at the foot of the Vercors Massif. The farm's walnut production is transformed on site into delicious products, starting with this little nugget.

A delicacy appreciated by all nut lovers, these kernels, gently caramelized in a copper praline machine, will delight young and old alike. And if we're talking organic, there's no reason why you shouldn't enjoy them!

Pure butter, soft and crunchy Financiers with raspberry and blueberry jam, sprinkled with puffed sugar (70 g).

financiers-savoyardsArtisan cookie maker: Biscuiterie artisanale Louvat, Christelle Ivangine-Bogey.

A little Savoyard delicacy for dessert: a delicious soft mountain fruit financier to finish off your tasting of this gourmet basket from Isère. Addictive!

Coulis de framboise bio maison du Vercors (330 g).

coulis-framboise-alpesArtisan : Saveurs du Vercors, producers of organic medicinal plants, jams, coulis, syrups and aperitifs, Dominique and Stéphane Rochas.

Located in Lans-en-Vercors, a mid-mountain village at 1100 m altitude on the Vercors plateau, our artisan grows and processes his own fruit and plant production in a unique environment.

A must to give your desserts (ice creams, yoghurts or cakes) a pretty touch of fruit and color for delicious fruity desserts all year round!

And enjoy your gourmet Savoyard trip to Isère!
