Producer: Champagne Pinot Chevauchet. Bronze medal World Wine Awards DECANTER 2015.
Harvested by hand to carefully select the grapes and guarantee quality champagnes, our cuvées are aged in our cellars for a minimum of 5 years... It's to get away from the classic brands that we offer you this Brut Nature blanc champagne, acclaimed by the critics (Revue du Vin de France, Bettane & Desseauve...). The 2008/2007/2006 harvests give structure to this champagne, in which the meunier grape dominates at 90% against 10% chardonnay.
The absence of dosage (the non-addition of sugar to the liqueur d'expédition, which is added to all champagnes without this mention) unleashes an explosion of floral, hawthorn aromas with hints of Burgundy. Very well-balanced on the palate, between liveliness and softness. This cuvée Nature lives up to its name, with no dosage, so what's lost in sugar is gained in finesse. A natural joy... that will make you rediscover champagne from a truly different angle, and will be the perfect accompaniment to this generous gourmet Christmas gift set.
Artisan: Foie Gras Famille Regaud, artisanal cannery in the South-West.
"Lou Pastou" means the shepherd. Beneath this poetic patois term lies a delicious combination of a savory country pâté enveloping a melting heart of artisanal duck foie gras. The coarse chopping of the pâté perfectly enhances the texture and round taste of the foie gras. A little treat for a gourmet Christmas aperitif!
Artisan: Les Cadets de Gascogne.
We couldn't celebrate Christmas without offering you an artisanal foie gras. The block of duck foie gras without pieces we've selected is made from Label Rouge farmhouse ducks from the Landes region, with a guaranteed free-range period of at least 102 days and guaranteed traceability, among other things. Here's a fine, flavorful artisan foie gras that's the perfect companion to grilled toast. Merry Christmas!
Artisan: Biscuiterie Apiflor.
We take you to the border between Cantal and Corrèze, to the village of Madic, where our craftsman makes tasty traditional biscuits in his bronze molds. He incorporates a subtle marriage of goat's cheese and rosemary to give his sablés a unique taste. Just perfect for an aperitif: a real crispy, gourmet success!
Tasting tip: to bring out the full flavor of these shortbreads, place them in the oven 2-3 minutes before serving for a successful Christmas aperitif!
Artisan-conserveur: La Rétaise.
We continue our Christmas aperitif with a delicious ceviche-style lemon-marinated salmon crumble, festive and gourmet with a hint of ginger. All prepared with the utmost rigor in the choice of ingredients, without the use of colorants or preservatives: you'll be telling us all about it!
Artisan-packer: La Lumineuse.
Here's a family-run business on the Ile d'Oléron that makes direct use of the resources of the sea that arrive in port to make spreads that smell of the open sea. We wanted to introduce you to an artisanal tarama to savor the difference this Christmas: not the flashy pink of the supermarkets, but the pale, colorant- and preservative-free one where the taste of the smoked cod roe in this authentic recipe takes flight.
On toast or small blinis, it's a holiday treat!
Artisan: le comptoir du Fougeray.
For us, Le comptoir de Fougeray is one of the great specialists in rillettes: thanks to slow cooking in a cauldron, manual shredding and strict selection criteria for their meat, their rillettes, which contain no additives or preservatives, have an incredibly tender texture and a consistently good taste.
So when it came to highlighting game, in this case venison, we put our trust in them, and we weren't disappointed. The fruity touch doesn't displease us either: we enjoy it on a piece of fresh bread or toast.
Artisan-chocolate maker: Maison Guinguet
This Provencal Christmas staple is a must-have for the festive season. You're in for a treat with these dark and milk chocolate squares sprinkled with dried fruit. Delicious and melt-in-your-mouth, they're sure to be a gourmet's delight.
Artisan chocolatier: Maison Guinguet.
A fun, festive format with this envelope containing delicious pralines coated in every color of chocolate.
Gourmets are in for a treat at a Christmas aperitif dinner party!
As usual, La Gourmet Box has pulled out all the stops for its gourmet aperitif box, and in addition to these great products, it has a few little surprises up its sleeve for a successful Christmas aperitif "à la bonne franquette".

Every month, we have our new gourmet boxes tested by independent testers (we don't pay them! We just send them one of our boxes), specialized in the world of gourmet boxes, to get external opinions (we'd obviously give them 10/10 every time...) and publicize our latest gourmet baskets, because we're proud of them, and we have to play the game of criticism...
The results of our Christmas gourmet box test on the LaBoxduMois website: it doesn't get any better than this!
