A gourmet basket filled with products from small, authentic Catalan producers in the Eastern Pyrenees region, to help you discover an extremely rich, varied and high-quality culinary production. Catalonia in celebration!
Winemaker: Domaine familial Chaluleau Pons Bio, Aude & Franck Chaluleau.
We'd like to share with you one of the region's must-taste wines, this organic Muscat de Rivesaltes wine.
Muscat de Rivesaltes, like all natural sweet wines, is produced by mutage, a process that consists in stopping the alcoholic fermentation of the must by adding wine alcohol. As a result, Muscat de Rivesaltes is sweeter than a traditional dry white wine, and a little more alcoholic with the addition of wine alcohol.
Nestled in the Pyrénées-Orientales in magnificent surroundings just a stone's throw from St-Paul-de-Fenouillet, our winemakers' estate goes far beyond tradition, cultivating the land with passion and a deep respect for organic farming. Two grape varieties are authorized for making Muscat wine in the Rivesaltes appellation: Muscat petit grain and Muscat d'Alexandrie. Our winemaker's Muscat is made with 100% Muscat petit grain.
Tasting notes: Elegant, brilliant golden color with aromas of orange blossom and honey. On the palate, the soft attack evolves into good balance and finesse, giving the impression of having the grape in your mouth. Pairings: A perfect aperitif with olives, dried fruit, diced Roquefort, cured ham and diced melon. It can also be enjoyed with foie gras or as an after-dinner drink. Serve chilled, between 8 and 10°C.
Artisan: Maison Anchois Roque, anchovy salters, Roque family
Just walk through the door of our artisan store in Collioure, and you know you're in a house of quality, steeped in history.
Here, Maison Roque marries one of its ancestral skills - the making of anchovies since 1870 - with an emblematic product of the region, the olive, to offer us a delicious tapenade rich in flavor. A great aperitif starter!
Artisan: Péchés Gourmands® artisanal cookie factory
Under the generous sun of Roussillon, where every gesture is imbued with tradition, our Péchés Gourmands craftsmen, a family of passionate artisans, have been using their expert hands for 25 years to make cookies that sing of the flavors of yesteryear.
We'd like to introduce you to their garrigue-scented crackers: crunchy to perfection, you can dip them into the tapenade in your Catalan gourmet box. One bite and you'll be on your way to the Mediterranean, right from home!
Artisan: Maison Anchois Roque, anchovy salters, Roque family.
Spanish Catalans call the Perpignan region Northern Catalonia: no wonder Spain influences local gastronomy. And with the Mediterranean lapping at its shores, here you'll find artisans who magnify the products of the sea.
Here, Maison Roque proposes a bouillabaisse based on 3 fish dishes that change according to arrivals. Why the name "bouillabaisse"? Quite simply, because when the broth into which the fish have been introduced comes to a boil ("bouille" in French), you have to lower ("baisse" in French) the heat so that the fish cook gently: "when it boils, you lower the heat": bouillabaisse!
Here's an ancient Mediterranean culinary tradition skillfully jarred by our artisan. The fish are cooked together with tomatoes, a little olive oil and a few spices. Simple, but so good when the raw materials are of the highest quality! Here's a dish that will delight lovers of Mediterranean fish and seafood, and take you south for dinner.
Heat it up over a low heat à la "Zarzuela": in a saucepan, of course! And that's all there is to it.
Choc'Angels, Maitre Pâtissier, Ange Parra.
Located in Sant Feliu d'Avall, near Perpignan, Ange, our master pastry chef, does everything himself, and does it very well! His homemade products are all handcrafted and made with quality raw materials.
Just look at the quality of this nougat, which smells of the South. Dried fruit and apricots from Roussillon, of course, with a hint of lemon: this is a nougat that's a little out of the ordinary, showcasing the riches of the Pyrénées Orientales and a little taste of home!
Artisan: Choc'Angels, Maitre Pâtissier, Ange Parra.
If you haven't already tried rousquille, now's the time to find out. The name rousquille comes from the Catalan word "rosca", meaning "crown", which explains its doughnut-like shape. The Catalan rousquille is a soft, melt-in-the-mouth cookie coated in a thick white glaze.
Ange offers a wide range of flavors. We've fallen for her citrus-flavored version: delicious and highly addictive, you'll see!
Artisan: Abies Lagrimus.
Organic sweets, with no preservatives, additives or colorants, and irresistible too? Yes, they do exist. Here's a high-altitude candy that's both an antioxidant and a natural refresher, made from the syrup of Abies Lagrimus fir from the Canigou massif. You'll be transported to a mountain forest in less time than it takes to unwrap this little sweet! Quite astonishing.

Every month, we have our new gourmet boxes tested by independent testers (we don't pay them! We just send them one of our boxes), specialized in the world of gourmet boxes, to get external opinions (we'd obviously give them 10/10 every time...) and publicize our latest gourmet baskets, because we're proud of them, and we have to play the game of criticism...
The excellent results of our Parisian gourmet box test on the Laboxdumois website: not bad!
