A Breton gourmet basket direct from the Morbihan department, filled with products from small, authentic producers in the region, to take you on a voyage of discovery of the generous and diverse Breton gastronomy, between land and sea, with some wonderful gourmet discoveries..
Craft cider : La Maison Kystin, cidrerie artisanale, Sacha Crommar.
Brought back to Brittany from the Crusades in the XIIᵉ century, buckwheat has since become the emblematic cereal of Brittany.
Here, our artisan succeeds with great finesse in marrying buckwheat with apple in this artisanal, gourmet cider that will take you to new gastronomic shores. Maceration of buckwheat combined with low-temperature fermentation of apples is the key to this cider, with its intense roasted notes.
A dense, rich amber color holds promise. A rich nose, with buckwheat of course, but also notes of aromatic herbs and propolis honey. On the palate, the balance between sweetness and acidity is seductive. A delicious accompaniment to the shortbread in your Morbihan gourmet basket, or on an apple or pear tart, for example.
Serving temperature: 8°C and 10°C in a flared glass.
Artisan: La Quiberonnaise, artisanal cannery.
Located in the fishing port of the Quiberon peninsula, with its long history of sardine fishing, our artisanal cannery La Quiberonnaise has been working exclusively with fresh fish for over a century.
Here, we invite you to savor the authentic taste of sardines, cooked with a hint of tomato and subtly enhanced by a note of Fine Champagne cognac.
Its creamy texture is the perfect accompaniment to your aperitif toast, and a great start to your Breton gourmet basket.
Artisan: Biscuiterie des Vénètes, Artisan Biscuitier BIO.
Here we find buckwheat again, but in organic chips this time, an original recipe created by our small craftsman on the shores of the Golfe du Morbihan.
The fruit of a collaboration between our artisan and Breton seaweed gatherers, these light, crispy buckwheat chips with organic seaweed are perfect for all your hummus, pâté de campagne and fromage frais. Or simply munch on them as an aperitif, where you'll savor this highly successful marriage of buckwheat and seaweed.
Artisan: La Belle-Iloise, artisanal cannery.
On their return from fishing, fishermen were entitled to a batch of fish called "godaille". They would add vegetables from their garden to make a rich and complete soup.
La Belle-Iloise reinterprets this little piece of Breton gastronomic history: white wine, conger eel, shrimp, lobster and herbs simmer together to create a richly flavored broth in which chunks of pollack, potatoes, leeks and fennel cook.
Brittany comes to you with this evocatively named soup-meal, a recipe that's both traditional and subtle...
La Paludière du Golfe, artisanal saltworks, Nathalie Krone.
It was while discovering the authentic charm of the Saint Armel salt marshes on the Gulf of Morbihan that our "paludière du golfe" fell in love with this site, classified as a sensitive natural area (ENS) and managed by the Morbihan department. It's the ideal place for birds to breed in spring.
By continuing to work the Saint Armel salt marshes, Nathalie is helping to preserve this fragile ecosystem and to ensure that all these birds can come here. A true enthusiast, she welcomes small groups to share her craft, and in addition to her untreated, unwashed and hand-sorted artisanal salts, she concocts fine salts from coarse sea salt, adding here a blend of spices (paprika, onion, coriander, garlic, lovage, fenugreek and cayenne pepper), all organically grown, to enhance your salad dressings and dishes.
Artisan: Biscuiterie des Vénètes, Artisan Biscuitier BIO
Can you take a trip to Brittany without tasting a real Kouign-Amann, that delicious Breton cake, made with "a little" butter, which is a delight for gourmets of all ages?
We're delighted to have found the artisan who knows how to brilliantly make this gastronomic marvel organically, without additives or preservatives, and who allows us to bring it to you - or rediscover it - from the comfort of your own home!
"Kouign-Amann" simply means "butter cake" in Breton. So, yes, there is some... a little combined with puff pastry and caramelized sugar. It's said to have been invented in Douarnenez in neighboring Finistère, but excellent examples can be found all over Brittany.
Enjoy it warm, reheated in a medium oven for 10 minutes, on its own or with vanilla ice cream or red fruit coulis, or simply with a touch of Salidou, which you'll find in your Breton gourmet box. Enjoy for dessert or snack.
Artisan : La Maison d'Armorine, confiserie & chocolaterie artisanale.
Salidou (or crème de Salidou) is a salted butter caramel cream, a creamy blend that's the perfect accompaniment to all gourmet pleasures. Enjoy it straight from the tube, or as a spread on crêpes, waffles and toast. You can also heat it in a bain-marie and use it as a coulis on your ice creams and desserts. A real delight for young and old alike!
Established in Quiberon and confectioners since 1946, La Maison d'Armorine is inspired by the old recipes of our grandmothers. Their secret? Natural ingredients (cane sugar, real salted butter from Brittany, Guérande salt) and traditional, artisanal methods to create sweet treats that are part of Brittany's culinary heritage.
Artisan: L'Atelier D, biscuiterie artisanale, Delphine Vannoote.
Prix Épicures d'Or 2023.
And to round off the tasting of this gourmet basket from Brittany, another classic example of the excellence of Breton craftsmanship in the art of biscuit-making, but with a touch of originality: Breton sablé revisited by an excellent artisan.
Widely grown in Brittany, fennel is rich in antioxidants. Its hint of aniseed, combined with the sweetness of Brittany's beautiful strawberries and, of course, butter, make these shortbreads a real success in the mouth, both in terms of texture and taste. You're in for a real treat!

Every month, we have our new gourmet boxes tested by independent testers (we don't pay them! We just send them one of our boxes), specialized in the world of gourmet boxes, to get external opinions (we'd obviously give them 10/10 every time...) and publicize our latest gourmet baskets, because we're proud of them, and we have to play the game of criticism...
The excellent results of the test of our Breton gourmet food box on the Laboxdumois website: not bad!
