UNSERE Alpen-Gourmet-Box

Erleben Sie die saftigen Köstlichkeiten der französischen Alpen-Gastronomie, während Sie sich durch diese fabelhafte Alpen-Gourmet-Box essen.

Chardonnay IGP Hautes Alpes Bio 2019, organic white wine made from hand-picked grapes (75 cl)

wine-chardonnay-igp-hautes-alpesOrganic Winery: Domaine Saint-André, Agriculture Biologique, Philippe Bilocq Propriétaire-récoltant.

A pioneer among Haute-Alpes viticulturists who’s been growing organic grapes for more than 20 years, Philippe offers us organic wines with very few sulphites, benefiting from the favourable soil in which his vines grow, on south-facing slopes overlooking the River Durance at an altitude of between 600 and 700 metres.

His IGP Hautes Alpes Chardonnay won us over with its fruitiness and ability to capture the essence of the terroir. A very pleasant companion to our selection of Alpine delicacies!

Traditional terrine flambéed with mountain Génépi (180 g)

terrine-genepi-alpesArtisan: Conserverie artisanale du Jallet, Laurent Brun Maître Charcutier.

Laurent only uses meat from high mountain farms to make his creations—and no additives. We fell in love with the authentic flavour of his products and his bonnes pratiques.

The terrine is excellent, and the flambéed Génépi, a typical local liqueur, adds a real mountain twist. Savour the Alpine goodness!

Crunchy organic beetroot crisps (70 g)

alpes-organic-beetroot-crispsArtisan: La Popote d'Anthoine, producteur des Alpes Bio, Famille Anthoine.

Located in the heart of the Écrins National Park in Châteauroux-Les-Alpes, this family of artisans has grown vegetables in an exceptional setting, 1,000 metres above sea level near the River Durance, for several generations. The Anthoine family cultivates organic produce and sells it locally, but recently they’ve also started turning some of their vegetables into tasty products.

These beetroot crisps are crunchy and packed with flavour: you've never tasted beetroot like this before!

Daube de porc noir des Hautes-Alpes, marinated black pork stewed in red wine with local baby vegetables and spices (330 g)

black-pork-stewArtisan: La Ferme Drouhot, Ludovic Drouhot.

Our artisan's farm sits at an altitude of 1,400 metres, in a small Champsaur village. When we arrived in this pristine setting, we sensed we were about to discover some amazing gems. Here is where Ludovic and his wife raise their black pigs.

They decided to come up with some recipes using their exceptional meat, and the result is as impressive as the scenery: magnifique! Warm up your black pork stew over low heat and... enjoy!

Le P’tit Risoulin framboise, a new take on traditional Tartes des Alpes raspberry pie (180 g)

tartes-alpes-framboisesArtisan: Biscuiterie artisanale Un Écrin de Gourmandises, Rémi & Marilyne.

These two artisans are amazingly energetic: they grow, process, cook, sell and even run a restaurant. In the hour I spent with them, they told me about 10 different projects they had in the works... If they're all as successful as their revamped Tartes des Alpes, I don’t know how they’ll manage!

In any case, it sounds like foodies are in for some delightful surprises.

Artisanal, old-fashioned lollipops made with honey from the southern Alps (10 lollipops)

sucette-miel-alpesArtisan Beekeeper: Ferme Apiland Nature, Sandrine et Lionel Apiculteurs.

Mountains mean honey! Sandrine and Lionel are so passionate about bees, to which they’ve devoted a large part of their lives, that they even created a museum to share their passion. As soon as it reopens in the post-Covid era, we highly recommend a visit!

We fell head over heels for their traditional lollipops made with farmhouse honey: traditional sweets, with no artificial colouring or preservatives, sure to delight young and old alike.

Le Croquant aux amandes, the famous artisanal biscuit of the Haute-Alpes (100 g)

farmhouse-croquants-franceArtisan: Les Craquants d'Abely, Séverine Lombard.

Provençal influences have seeped into the Hautes-Alpes region, and if you look carefully, you’ll find marvellous artisans who've mastered the art of making croquants like few others. We’ve tried a lot of croquants over the years, but so far none have come closer to beating Séverine’s recipe.

Her exceptional croquants are light, crunchy and packed with almonds, but somehow they still melt in your mouth. Once you’ve had a taste, it’s hard not to finish the entire bag.

Bon Voyage to the Alpes!
