Producer: Domaine Gavoty.
The Gavoty winery, run by Roselyne Gavoty, is first and foremost a family affair. The property was acquired by Philemón Gavoty in 1806, and since then six generations have maintained the tradition of this family business and played a pioneering role in the Provençal wine-making world. We have them to thank for introducing the Vermentino grape (a white variety primarily used in Italian wines, also known as Rolle) and elevating rosé wine to a place of prominence and distinction. The calcareous clay soil and wide temperature ranges of this region add a rich mineral note to their wines. The wine we've selected for this box is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino and Cabernet grapes. It boasts a delicate pink colour, an aromatic bouquet of red berries, such as strawberry, and a delightfully refreshing mouthfeel. It goes perfectly with salads, spicy dishes and Provençal specialities based on garlic and olive oil.
Producer: Les Oréliades.
Since 1982, the family business Les Oréliades, based in the Var town of Salernes, offers a wide variety of Provence's finest gourmet products. All of their recipes, prepared by hand using only local ingredients, are highly original, festive and inspired by tradition. This olive tapenade terrine, with aromas reminiscent of a soft summer breeze, is a savoury blend of black olives, capers and olive oil. We recommend serving it on toast as hors d’oeuvres or the perfect addition to a salad of lettuce, minced onion and caramelized tomato.
Producer: Les Oréliades.
This little jar is packed with the seductive aromas of sunshine and nature. A combination of warm, lively flavours, the main ingredient in this terrine is farigoule, a liqueur distilled from one of the region's most typical herbs: thyme. Ideal for a snack or appetizer.
Producer: Les Oréliades.
Bask in the warm southern sun a little while longer with this terrine scented with lavender, Provence's most famous flower. The deliciously aromatic blossom adds a hint of freshness to the mixture, making it the perfect way to liven up an ordinary salad. Surprise your guests with this cheerful, original combination!
Producer: Les Oréliades.
To round out this feast of Provençal flavours, we propose a sophisticated, subtle terrine made from figs, one of the region's characteristic fruits. Serve with an endive salad for a match made in heaven.
Producer: Le Temps des Mets.
This original olive spread is sure to delight your guests, adding colour and flavour to any gourmet moment. Made using artisan methods by a small local producer in Six Fours les Plages, it contains black olives, goat cheese, spices, aromatic herbs and extra virgin olive oil.
Producer: Les Oréliades.
Add a hint of Provence to your recipes with this combination of typical aromatic herbs. It contains thyme, rosemary, basil, marjoram, oregano and chervil, among other herbs. Perfect for adding zest to grilled and roasted dishes, sauces and even fried chips!
Producer: Nougat Jonquier.
Since 1885, Maison Jonquier has been making mouth-watering nougats that are now world-renowned. Their recipe hasn't changed since then, and today, six generations later, they still prepare it in old-fashioned copper pots. Jonquier nougats are authentic, traditional sweets with no preservatives or additives. In this GOURMET BOX you'll find a unique hand-picked selection of their nougadets, with fig, hazelnut, orange, violet and vanilla aromas. This colourful assortment of flavours is a genuine culinary treat for young and old alike.
Producer: Confiserie Azuréenne.
Surrounded by lovely old chestnut groves, the town of Collobrières is considered the chestnut capital of France. The expert confectioners at Confiserie Azuréenne, in the heart of this charming locale, have been creating delicious concoctions with chestnuts for over half a century. Their artisan paste awakens memories of old-time goodness. Puréed chestnuts, sugar and vanilla extract are blended and cooked sous-vide to preserve all of their properties and subtle aromas. Whether you eat it with fresh cheese, on cake or straight out of the jar, this paste won't disappoint!
Producer: Mon terroir Provençal.
These sweets are a speciality of the Var region, where a wide variety of world-famous honeys are made. In fact, it is the top honey-producing département in France, with more hives than any other part of the country. These smooth, comforting, all-natural artisan candies with old-time flavours will pleasantly surprise the whole family. Share the joy!
